Welcome!

As freshmen at Texas Tech, this week marks the beginning of your first full week as a college student!

By now, I’m guessing you’ve made at least a dozen trips to Wal-Mart, gotten at least 10 panicked phone calls from your mother and hopefully gone to a few classes.

You probably have some complaints about your new roommate, your class schedule and Lubbock’s lack of a Taco Cabana, but I hope you’re settling in and finding you’re happy with your choice to attend Texas Tech.

This blog is meant to accompany your IS-1100 course as a way to get involved on campus and be encouraged by your peers. I hope you will find it useful and insightful.
